Ranked in 2020 as one of the fastest-growing cities in the country, the population of Sugar Land has grown impressively from 24,529 in 1990 to over 118,000 today. Located just 20 miles southwest of Houston, it boasts a vibrant setting with flourishing businesses created by innovators and entrepreneurs, first-class medical facilities, dynamic shopping, and friendly people. And at the heart of this bustling city is Sugar Land Town Square.

Founded in 2003 through a partnership with the City of Sugar Land, Sugar Land Town Square was envisioned as a true downtown destination where residents could live, work, shop, and gather. Today, it serves as the vibrant heart of the community, reshaping the city’s landscape with a dynamic mix of dining, retail, residential living, and hospitality.
The premier walkable lifestyle district, located at the intersection of U.S. 59 and Highway 6, features 223,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, 566,000 square feet of Class A office, 167 condominiums, a full-service Marriott Hotel with conference center, and City Hall — all centered around a beloved plaza that hosts concerts, festivals, performances, and pop-ups throughout the year.
Sugar Land Town Square operates as a public-private partnership between the City of Sugar Land, Fort Bend County, Fort Bend County Levee Improvement District No. 2, and Pennybacker Capital.
